Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

I continue to implement high level plugits for raspberry pi GPIO control
I've add I2C PCA9685 for 16 channel servos and the SR04 ultra sound sensor

servos driver : http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/16-Channe … 42c0aeebd0

SR04 : http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Smart-Ele … fc933637ec

here my fist attempt with a 3D printed robot, it use raspberry pi 2 and continous servos :

Flash required

more complex robots will come once I receive the servos motor

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

Hello,

Very cool this sample OpenSpace3D use with Raspberry Pi. In my year-end holiday I want to dedicate to build a cool robot. You can integrate recognition targets images in these projects?

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

hello,

yes this is my final goal to add a camera on it, just need some more time to design the camera support on top,  and I'm waiting for lipo battery that I hope fit in the body

I've also added a plugit to execute console commands on pi , so I should be abble to use an external software for vocal recognition. (I only found some in java or python on rpi)

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

Very interesting.
That's great that we are aligned with our ideas and goals.
Have you tried the http://cmusphinx.sourceforge.net/ for STT (Speech-to-text)?

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

I'm trying to install it on pi for hours, got some conflicts with it.

the first goal is to be able to launch it from the system command plugit and get the text from ouput.
then I can use a switchstr plugit to check to regonized words

It could be interesting to implement it directly as a scol plugin but it will take time ^^ too much things to do for now.

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

It is possible to implement this feature in Python for OpenSpace3D running on the Raspberry Pi?

Re: Raspberry Pi robot controlled with OS3D

it should be possible with the system command plugit
you launch the python program with this plugit and it get the output from the console.

That's great to see the implementation of image recognition with Raspberry Pi, this will open a range of possibilities.
Congratulations Arkeon, you and all your staff always surprise me.
