Copy Project folder on another PC

Hello,

I've got an important request. I need to copy my openSpace Project on another computer.
I Simply copy the project folder and then pass it on the other PC Under a scol partition. But when I open it, the Dumpy path is present but not the model. The 3D model isn't there…

Does someone know why? smile

Re: Copy Project folder on another PC

Hello,

the correct workflow to do this is :
- export your app for windows
- from the exported files, copy all the directories in "partition" folder except "locked", "tmp" and "tools" into the OpenSpace3D directory on the new computer

Re: Copy Project folder on another PC

I just tried, It didn't work.

I copied "my project" , "assets" directories except "locked" and "tools" ("tmp" isn't there) in my correct Open space directory and it doesn't work. am I missing something?

Thanks for your help

Re: Copy Project folder on another PC

you must respect the directories hierarchy on the 2 computers relative to the OpenSpace3D folder.
for example if you copy "OpenSpace3D/my project" in "OpenSpace3D/projects/my project" it will not be able to find the correct paths used for resources.

you must copy
- "partition/my project" in "my documents/OpenSpace3D/my project"
- "partition/assets" in "my documents/OpenSpace3D/assets"
....
